Publishing databases on the web involves programming both the user interface for searching and retrieving data and expert use of the database tools for maintaining and administering the database. ISSI has published Oracle, Access and SQL Server databases on the World Wide Web. For the National Transportation Safety Board, ISSI published the database of airline crash data. For NHTSA, ISSI develops and supports applications to publish databases of safety related engineering data from motor vehicle crash tests. ISSI takes advantage of a variety of Oracle web application development tools as well as Java development tools including CASE methodology, and supporting CGI programs to provide efficient, secure and supportable Web access to customer databases.
