Have you ever talked to your daughter about bladder leaks?

This was one of the questions we posed to the mother-daughter duos who entered our studio last week, with the purpose of asking them about topics they may have never broached together. All mother-daughter relationships are different, and not all are necessarily intimate and vulnerable, but we hoped our prompts would give each mother and daughter an opportunity to learn more about the other, and reflect on their relationship as a whole. 😊

We know not everyone celebrates what could be considered a “traditional” mother's day, but hopefully, no matter what you’re doing, you can reflect on the best parental advice you've ever received or given, or honor someone in your life who played a helping hand in you in becoming who you are.

And to the mamas, who somehow make it all look so easy-- we hope you’re reading this in bed, under a really, really soft comforter, surrounded by fresh cut flowers, with the scent of french toast sizzling on a pan in your kitchen….or, okay, at least some of your favorite tv shows queued up! 😭

Along with meeting and working with these delightfully candid mothers and daughters, we are working with Safe Horizon, an NYC-Based non-profit that helps mothers and children who have been victims of domestic abuse.
