Like many of us, Emma Watson is still processing last week's election, but instead of adding fried oreos to her Seamless order (me), she’s spreading hope and love through Maya Angelou.

The day after the election, Watson whimsically traveled through New York City hiding copies of the Angelou's autobiography Mom & Me & Mom__. Among her pit stops was Grand Central Station and the 23rd st. stop, a station that is often used by Team THINX (and yes, we're keeping an eye out). Watson, who will be starring as Belle in the live-action Beauty and the Beast set to be released in March, seems to be taking her book sharing very seriously--she was even seen slipping books in the London Tube last week! The initiative isn’t just a clever therapy method or a timely promotion, but goes along with her feminist book club, “Our Shared Shelf” (you can join here).

This month's book club pick (and what we are assuming is now a popular NYC train read) was Angelou's last published work before she died in 2014, and centers around her relationship with her mother, Vivian Baxter. It’s a true story of struggle, strength, love, and forgiveness. It may just be exactly what you need right now, accompanied with some fried oreos (maybe just one)?

Watson is done with her scholarly scavenger hunt for now, but keep your eyes peeled! If you’d like to read along with Emma and Team THINX, you can find your local bookstore here.
